Green Pastures Special Needs Services & Food Pantry was founded  by a group of community members who recognized the need for a local organization dedicated to helping special needs people and families.  We are now growing into a thriving nonprofit, serving hundreds of individuals each year.Our mission to reach people with various needs originated with a student that was a diverse learner. He had autism, down syndrome, was non-verbal, cerebral palsy. Despite the challenges he faced, he was smart, had personality, and a joy to be around. Once I was assigned to work with him, he quickly grew on me. I always had a call to help people, but it was then that I developed a passion for people with special needs. And since, have been on a mission to help fulfill that purpose of connecting families and people of all backgrounds with resources that they need but don't necessarily know how to access. We are the bridge that connects them to their need.
